Replace Fuel Filter—5085M, 5095M, 5095MH, 5105M and 5105ML

  1. IMPORTANT: Be sure characteristics of new filter match the original filter.

    A - Retaining Ring

    B - Fuel Filter

    C - Drain Plug

    D - Water Separator Bowl

    Place tractor in PARK and SHUT OFF engine. Remove key. Let engine to cool.



  2. Raise hood.

  3. Open drain plug (C) and drain fuel.

  4. Lift up and rotate retaining ring (A) counterclockwise. Remove ring with filter (B).

  5. Remove water separator bowl (D) from pre-filter.

  6. Clean separator. Dry with compressed air.

    Install water separator bowl (D) on new filter.

  7. Install new filter assembly. Tighten retaining ring hand-tight.

  8. Bleed the fuel system. (See Bleed Fuel System—5085M, 5095M, 5095MH, 5105M and 5105ML in Section 75.)

  9. Start engine and keep running for some time.

  10. SHUT OFF engine.

  11. Inspect drain plug (C) and filter (B) for leaks.

  12. Lower hood.

    NOTE: Two fuel filters (B) are different, do not interchange. Replace one after another to avoid interchange.
