Operating Mechanical Front Wheel Drive (If Equipped)

APY04520-UN-14FEB18
A - MFWD Lever
Use mechanical front wheel drive (MFWD) as required for better
traction.
CAUTION: Mechanical front wheel drive greatly increase traction.
When this option is used, extra caution is needed on slopes. Compared
to 2-Wheel drive, a mechanical front wheel drive tractor maintains
traction on steeper slopes. Increase the possibility of a tip over. When driving on icy, wet, or graveled surfaces, reduce speed
and be sure that tractor is properly ballasted to avoid skidding and
loss of steering controls, engage mechanical front wheel drive.
IMPORTANT: To extend tire life engage mechanical front heel
drive when needed . DO NOT engage when driving on hard surfaces. DO NOT install tire chains on the tractor front wheels, otherwise
chains strikes and damages the tractor.
To prevent transmission damage, DO NOT engage or disengage mechanical
front wheel drive on the go.
Depress clutch pedal and stop the tractor before engaging or
disengaging MFWD. Pull up shift lever (A) to engage, and pull down
lever to disengage MFWD.
