Ballasting Front End for Transport

LV9683-UN-17AUG04
A - Ballast Center
B - Ballast Retaining Bolt
CAUTION: Additional front ballast may be needed for transporting
rear-mounted implements. Heavy pulling and heavy rear-mounted implements
tend to lift front wheels. When handling weights, use proper lifting
equipment. Approximate weight of QUIK-TATCH weights is 47 kg (104
lb). Drive slowly over rough ground when implement is raised.
NOTE: Determine the minimum number of front weights required
from implement code in implement operator's manual. Up
to 10 Quik-Tatch weights can be installed on the front of the tractor.
-
Add weight to front end to maintain stability and steering control.
Install weights in pairs, one on each side of center (A).
-
To hold weights in place, insert retaining bolts (B) through
holes from side-to-side. Tighten to specification.
