   A - Hand Throttle Lever

   B - 540E Operation Speed

   C - 540 Standard Operation Speed

   D - PTO Control Lever

   E - Economical Mode Lever

   Start engine and push hand throttle lever (A) forward until tachometer indicates PTO rated speed of 1705 rpm (B) for 540E operation or 2376 rpm (C) for standard 540 operation.

2. NOTE: When standard PTO lever engaged, an indicator will glow on the instrument cluster.

   Move control lever (D) forward to engage standard PTO and move back it for disengaging standard PTO operation.

3. NOTE: Standard PTO lever should be in engage position while engaging Economy PTO lever.

   Move lever (E) forward for economical 540 operation and move back it for disengaging economy PTO operation.

   CAUTION: CAUTION: Turn key OFF to stop engine, put tractor in park position and make sure all mechanisms have stopped before cleaning out machine or making any adjustments to PTO driven implement.
