Fuel Storage
Buy good quality, clean fuel from a reputable supplier.
Proper fuel storage is critically important. Use clean storage
and transfer tanks. Periodically drain water and sediment from bottom.
Avoid storing fuel over long periods of time. If there is slow
turnover of fuel in the fuel tank or supply tank, it is necessary
to add John Deere Diesel Fuel Conditioner to prevent the water condensation.
(See nearest John Deere dealer for proper service or maintenance recommendations.)
Store fuel in a convenient place away from buildings.
NOTE: To reduce fuel gelling and control wax separation during
cold weather, John Deere Fuel Flow Improver, or equivalent, is added
to fuel or bulk storage tank.
