Check MFWD Axle Wheel Hub Oil Level

A - Plug

Service Interval—50 Hours

1. Park tractor on level surface.

2. Turn wheel hubs until the words OIL LEVEL are horizontal.

3. Remove plug (A). Oil level should be just below plug hole.

4. If low, add oil through same hole. Add John Deere Hy-Gard™ Transmission/Hydraulic Oil or its equivalent. (See Fuels, Lubricants and Coolant section.)

5. Apply pipe sealant with TEFLON®, or equivalent, to threads of plug.

6. Install plug and tighten to specifications.

   Item	Measurement	Specification
   Plug-to-Hub	Torque	70 N·m (52 lb-ft)

7. Repeat procedure on opposite wheel hub.
