The engine performance is adversely affected when the air cleaner
element is clogged with dust. Be sure to clean the air filter element
periodically.

Open hood.

Release latch (B) and remove cover (C) from sideways.

Rotate ¼ turn of the primary filter element (D) anti-clock
wise to remove. Do not use excessive force. If filter does not pull
out with ease, move side-to-side to remove safely.

CAUTION: ALWAYS wear eye protection when servicing the engine
and when using compressed air or high-pressure water. Dust, flying
debris, compressed air, pressurized water or steam may injure your
eyes.
CAUTION: CAUTION: Avoid injury! Compressed air can cause debris
to fly a long distance. Wear eye protection when using compressed
air for cleaning purposes. Reduce compressed air pressure to 210 kPa
(30 psi)
Remove the dust without damaging the primary filter element.

Clean inner side of the air cleaner cover (C). Clean out any
dirt in canister taking care not to damage the secondary filter element
(E).

Reinstall the primary filter element (D) into the air cleaner
case.

Reinstall the air cleaner cover (C).

Latch the clips (B) on the air cleaner cover (C).
