A - Tractor Battery Positive (+) Post

B - Engine Ground

C - Booster Battery Negative (—) Post

D - Booster Battery Positive (+) Post

IMPORTANT: Be sure polarity is correct before making connections. Reversed polarity may damage electrical system or possibly cause battery to explode.

IMPORTANT: When using two or more booster batteries, batteries MUST be connected in PARALLEL. DO NOT connect batteries in SERIES.

CAUTION:

Battery gas is explosive:

• DO NOT smoke while charging battery.
• Keep all flames and sparks away.
• DO NOT charge frozen battery.
• DO NOT connect booster battery negative (—) cable to starting vehicle negative (—) terminal.

1. Access battery. (See procedure in Service section.)

2. Connect positive (+) booster cable to booster battery positive (+) post (D).

3. Connect the other end of positive (+) booster cable to tractor battery positive (+) post (A).

4. Connect negative (—) booster cable to booster battery negative (—) post (C).

5. Connect the other end of negative (—) booster cable to engine ground (B), away from battery and starter.
