Clean Grille, Radiator, Charge Air Cooler (CAC), Oil Cooler, and Fuel Cooler — Cab

    A - Grille

    Whenever dirt builds up on front grille (A), stop engine and brush clean.

    CAUTION: Reduce compressed air to less than 210 kPa (2 bar) (30 psi) when using for cleaning purposes. Clear area of bystanders, guard against flying chips, and wear personal protection equipment including eye protection.

    A - Fuel Cooler

    B - Condenser

    C - Charge Air Cooler

    D - Oil Cooler

    E - Radiator

    F - Wing Nuts (2 used)

    G - Wing Nuts (2 used)

    H - Wing Nuts (2 used)

    I - Wing Nuts (2 used)

    J - Screws (2 used)

    Clean fuel cooler (A) and front of the condenser (B) at the installed condition.



  3. Loosen the wing nuts (G) and (H). Slide the condenser (B) forward till the end of slot.

  4. Clean the front of the charge air cooler (C) and oil cooler (D).

  5. Remove wing nuts (F) and loosen the wing nuts (I) and (J) from both sides.

    NOTE: Do not loosen wings nuts (F) and (I) and do not forward the CAC before sliding the condenser forward. Sliding CAC before condenser moving forward damages the condenser fins at backside.

  6. Tilt charge air cooler along with oil cooler about until it is close to condenser (B).

  7. Clean radiator (E) front surface.

  8. If a more thorough cleaning is necessary, clean radiator from behind with compressed air or water. Straighten any bent fins.

  9. Follow the process in reverse for assembly.
