CAUTION: Keep all sparks and flames away from batteries, as
gas given off by electrolyte is explosive. To avoid sparks, connect
ground cable last and disconnect it first.
To avoid shocks
and burns, disconnect battery ground cable before servicing any part
of the electrical system.

A - Hood Latch Release
B - Hood Top Panel
C - Bolts
D - Lock Pin (2 used)
E - Front Grill
F - Bolt (4 used)
G - Bolt (2 used)
H - Nut (2 used)
I - Nut (2 used)
J - Clamp
K - Negative (—) Battery Terminal
L - Positive (+) Battery Terminal
M - Spacer (2 used)
N - Cover
Push hood latch release (A) button to unlock hood.

Raise hood top panel (B).

Remove lock pins (D) on each side.

Remove side panels.

Remove bolts (C).
-
Lift the front grill (E).
-
Remove bolts (F) and spacers (M).

Remove bolts (G) and cover (N).

Disconnect negative (—) terminal (K) first, then positive (+)
terminal (L).

Loosen nuts (H and I) securing battery hold-down and remove
the clamp (J).
-
Pull the battery in the front side and lift the battery from
the battery tray.
