CAUTION: Avoid possible injury or death from a machine runaway.
DO NOT start engine by shorting across starter terminals. Machine
may start in gear and start moving, bypassing normal circuit.
Before starting the engine, place the range lever, PTO lever
and forward-reverse lever in NEUTRAL position. Engine does not start
if range lever, forward-reverse lever and PTO lever are not in NEUTRAL
position.
Never start engine while standing on ground.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT run a cold engine at full throttle.
Turn the key switch (B) fully clockwise and then engage the
starter. Release key when engine starts. If the key is released before
the engine starts, wait until starter and engine stop turning before
trying again.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate the starter longer than 20 seconds
at a time. If engine does not start, wait at least two minutes for
the starter motor to cool before trying again. If engine does not
start in four attempts, refer to Troubleshooting section.
