Use oil viscosity based on the expected air temperature range during the period between oil changes.

The following oils are preferred:

• John Deere EXTREME-GARD™
• John Deere GL5 GEAR LUBRICANT

Other oils may be used if they meet the following:

• API Service Classification GL-5
• Military Specifications MIL-L-2105D
• Military Specifications MIL-L-2105C
• Military Specifications MIL-L-2105B

Oil meeting military specification MIL-L-10324A maybe used as arctic oils.
