A - MFWD shift lever
Use front-wheel drive as required for better traction.
CAUTION: Front-wheel drive greatly increases traction. When
this option is used, extra caution is needed on slopes. Compared to
2-wheel drive, a front-wheel drive Tractor maintains traction on steeper
slopes, increasing the possibility of a tip over. When
driving on icy, wet or graveled surfaces, reduce speed and be sure
Tractor is properly ballasted to avoid skidding and loss of steering
control. For best control, engage front wheel drive (if equipped).
IMPORTANT: 1.- To extend tire life, engage front-wheel drive
only when needed. DO NOT engage when driving on hard surfaces. 2.- DO NOT install tire chains on Tractor front wheels: chains
will strike and damage Tractor.
3.- To prevent transmission damage, DO NOT engage or disengage
front-wheel drive on the go.
Depress clutch pedal and stop Tractor before engaging or disengaging
front-wheel drive. Push shift lever (A) forward to engage, and pull
lever back to disengage drive.
