Using Hydraulic Hitch Position Control
CAUTION:

M47168-UN-31JAN92
A - Position control lever
B - Draft control lever
C - Position control lever in transport position
D - Position control lever in depth position
E - Position control lever in float position
To prevent involuntary movement of hydraulic hitch, put draft
control lever (B) completely forward before coupling any accessory.
Move draft control lever (B) fully forwards to turn off sensitivity
control, when coupling implement to tractor.
Position control lever (A) and draft control lever (B) to control
the movement and depth of hitch. The position control should be used
in the following applications:
-
For the TRANSPORT of implements while turning at end of row
(crop ends). Move position control lever (C) fully back while transporting,
with or without draft control.
-
To engage the implements at a CONSTANT DEPTH on level terrain
and for non soil penetrating implements, like, for example, sprayers.
Adjust position control lever to obtain the desired depth (D).
-
For the FLOATING operation of implements with depth gauge wheels
designed to support the total implement weight. Adjust both control
levers fully forwards to position (E), so that the implement can follow
the land contours.
NOTE: Tensioning arms can be adjusted to provide lateral float.
(See "Hitch Float", in this section.)
