Ballasting the Tires with Water

LX009450-UN-03JAN95
Lift the wheel with a jack and turn it until the valve is at
the top of the tire. Replace the valve with one that takes water.
As the tire is filled with water, the air escapes through the purge
tube. Depending on the tire size, filling will take 15 to 20 minutes.
Afterwards, replace the water valve with an air valve and fill
the tire with air to the correct pressure. The capacities vary depending
on the size and brand of the wheels.
If necessary, consult your John Deere Dealer or the tire distributor.
In cold periods you can use an antifreeze substance such as
calcium chloride adding 0.4 kg (0.88 lb) per liter of water.
