Adjusting Turn Radius of Steering Stops - 4X2 Axle (Carraro)

  1. Lift and prop-up front end of tractor so that 4 X 2 axle can turn between its steering stops.

  2. Raise the left-hand side of axle against its stop and measure the free space between tire and nearest tractor component. Distance must be at least 25 mm (1 in).

  3. Slowly turn steering wheel to the left until you reach end of steering cylinder travel, steering stops and tires are at 25 mm (1 in.) from lateral panels.

  4. Loosen locknut of steering stop (B) and adjust corresponding bolt (B) so that it touches steering stop (C). It may be necessary to shorten bolt (A) to reach maximum steering angle.

  5. Tighten locknut of steering stop bolt (B).

  6. Tighten steering stop lock nuts to specification.

  7. Repeat procedure on other side.
