Setting Front Axle Tread (Dana)

IMPORTANT: Position jack under front weights.

DO NOT PLACE jack under engine crankcase.

1. Raise front end of tractor with a jack.
2. When performing big tread adjustments, it may be necessary to adjust coupler bar length (A) before or during axle adjustment. Consult "4x2 Axle Toe-In Adjustment", in this Section.
3. Remove four bolts (B) from front axle (2 on each side).
4. Slide axle linkage to desired position. Both sides should be space adjusted equally.
5. Reinstall bolts (B) to each side of axle. Tighten bolts to 480 Nm (350 lb-ft).
6. Adjust toe-in. See "Checking and Adjusting Toe-In" for the corresponding procedure for the axle type installed.
