Changing MFWD Axle Oil DANA

NOTE: The oil in the axle housing and final drives should be changed after the first 100 hours of operation. Thereafter, it should be changed every 600 hours of operation.

  1. Park tractor on a plain surface to make sure you fill up oil correctly.

  2. NOTE: Each front-wheel hub has a drain/filler plug (C).

    Remove drains/filler plugs (A, C and D). When draining wheel hubs turn wheels so that drain/filler plug (C) is in six o'clock position. Drain off oil.

  3. Turn wheels so that oil level mark (B) is parallel to the ground.

  4. Install drain plug (A).

  5. Fill differential housing at filler openings (A and C) with Hy-Gard™ oil. (Consult "Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant" Section.) Fill hubs up to level mark (B) and differential housing up to filler opening (D).

IMPORTANT: Check oil level after 30 minutes. Oil flows very slowly through bearings and axle housings. Fill up through hub filler opening (C) at both sides of differential housing (D) to reduce filling time. Add oil as necessary.
