Tractor must be stationary before setting gearshift lever in Park (P). If tractor is in motion, park lock will not engage and will even damage transmission.

  1. Stop tractor and move gearshift lever to Park (P).

CAUTION: Always put gearshift lever in park "P" before leaving the tractor. Leaving the transmission in gear with engine shut off will not always prevent the tractor from moving.

IMPORTANT: When parking tractor with heavy implements connected to drawbar, besides engaging PARK (P) on tractor, make sure towed implement also has parking brake engaged to retain load and prevent accidents.

  2. Lower implement to the ground by means of the hydraulic hitch control lever (B).
  3. Move hand throttle (A) backwards to idle position and let engine run for one or two minutes.

IMPORTANT: The engine oil will cool down certain engine parts. The sudden stalling of an excessively hot engine may cause serious damage to these parts, due to overheating or lack of lubrication.

  4. Turn starter switch to OFF position.

CAUTION: Remove key switch to avoid accidents.
