Setting Front Axle Tread (Carraro)

IMPORTANT: Position jack under front weights.

DO NOT PLACE jack under engine crankcase.

1. Raise front end of tractor with a jack.
2. When performing big tread adjustments, loosen bolts (E) and adjust coupler bar length (A).
3. Remove two nuts (B), washers (D) and bolts (C) from front axle (2 on each side).
4. Slide axle linkage to desired position. Both sides should be adjusted to the same spacing.
5. Reinstall bolts (B), (C) and (D) to each side of axle. Tighten bolts to 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).
6. Adjust toe-in. See "Checking and Adjusting Toe-In" for the corresponding procedure for the axle type installed.
