Check MFWD Axle Housing Oil Level—If Equipped

   A - Oil Level Check/Fill Plug

   PARK tractor on level ground and SHUT OFF engine. Remove key.

2. Remove check/fill plug (A). Oil level should be even with bottom of the fill plug hole.

3. If level is low, add oil through same hole. John Deere HY-GARD oil is recommended. (See MFWD Axle Housing and Wheel Hub Oil in section 85 Fuel, Lubricants, and Coolant.)

   NOTE: Approximate MFWD axle housing oil capacity is 5 L (1.32 gal).

4. Apply TEFLON® or equivalent to threads of plug.

5. Install plug and tighten to specifications.
