Transport Tractor Safely
RXA0103709-UN-01JUL09
A disabled tractor is best transported on a flatbed carrier.
Use chains to secure the tractor to the carrier. The axles and tractor
frame are suitable attachment points.
Before transporting the tractor on a low-loader truck or flatbed
rail wagon, make sure that the hood is secured over the tractor engine
and that doors, roof hatch (if equipped) and windows are properly
closed.
Never tow a tractor at a speed greater than 10 km/h (6 mph).
An operator must steer and brake the tractor under tow.
