Operating the Selective Control Valve Levers

Selective control valve levers for tractors with open operator's station may have the following positions:

  • Extend (B)

    BM018516
    BM018516-UN-01DEC16

    A - Retract

    B - Extend

    C - Neutral

    D - Float

    E - Fast Forward

  • Neutral (C)
  • Retract (A)
  • Float (D) or Fast Forward (E)
  1. To extend the remote cylinder, move selective control valve lever to Extend position (B).

  2. To hold the remote cylinder in its position, move selective control valve lever to Neutral position (C).

  3. To retract the remote cylinder, move selective control valve lever to Retract position (A).

  4. To allow the remote cylinder to move freely, move the selective control lever to Float position (D).

  5. To engage fast forward system, push valve lever to Fast Forward position (E).

Use this function to clean the bucket of a front loader (if equipped).

After unloading, in order to eliminate remaining debris from the bucket, hold SCV lever in Retract position, then move to Fast Forward position to cause an abrupt inversion.

  6. To retract the single action cylinders, move Selective Control Valve lever to Float position (D).

If external valves are used, move Selective Control Valve lever to Neutral position (C) before shutting off each hydraulic function.
