Using Liquid Ballast in Tires
CQ294116-UN-28AUG12
25% water, valve at 6 o'clock position
CQ294117-UN-28AUG12
40% water, valve at 4 o'clock position
CQ294118-UN-28AUG12
75% water, valve at 12 o'clock position
In radial tires, never use more than 40% of tire
capacity for liquid ballasting in rear tires and 75% of tire capacity
for liquid ballasting in front tires, otherwise space available for
tire deformation is excessively reduced thus provoking hardening and
subsequent damage to tires.
-
To ballast front and rear tires at 25%, position tire valve
in lower position (6 o'clock).
-
To ballast front and rear tires at 40%, position tire valve
in lower position (4 o'clock).
-
To ballast front tires at 75%, position tire valve in upper
position (12 o'clock).
The weights shown in chart below refer to the ballast
weight of each tire.
