A - Coolant Recovery Tank Cap

    B - Clamps (2 used)

    C - Hose

    D - Drain Valve

Coolant can be hot. Wait until radiator and engine block cool down before touching them.
Do not remove cap of coolant recovery tank until the water temperature has lowered to approx. ambient temperature.

Remove coolant recovery tank cap (A).

  2. Unfasten clamps (B), remove hose (C), and drain coolant into a suitable container.

  3. For a complete system drain, open cylinder block drain valve (D) and drain the remaining coolant into an appropriate container.

Coolant recovery tank cap (A) is responsible for maintaining cooling system pressurized. Check condition of seal and replace if necessary.

    A - MAX Mark

    B - MIN Mark

    C - Filler Neck

Through filler neck (C), refill system with coolant recommended in Section Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant, quantity recommended in Section Specifications—Capacities.

  11. Start engine and run until operating temperature is reached.

  12. Check coolant level. Engine coolant level should be close to marking MAX. (A). If the coolant is at the marking MIN. (B), add coolant until reaching the level.
