Adjusting Turn Radius of Steering Stops - 4X2 Axle—CARRARO

    Raise and prop-up front end of tractor so that 4X2 front axle can turn between its steering stops.



  2. Raise the left-hand side of axle against its stop and measure the free space between tire and nearest tractor component. Distance must be at least 25 mm (1 in).

  3. Slowly turn steering wheel to the left until you reach end of steering cylinder travel, steering stops and tires are at 25 mm (1 in.) from lateral panels.

  4. Loosen locknut (B) of steering stop and adjust corresponding bolt (A) so that it touches steering stop (C). It may be necessary to shorten bolt (A) to reach maximum steering angle.

  5. Tighten locknut (B) of steering stop bolt (A) to specified torque:

    Lock Nut (B)Torque60 N·m (44.2 lb.-ft.)

  6. Repeat procedure on other side.
