Be Careful on Descents
-
Only work with Roll-Over Protective Structure (ROPS) installed.
Always use seat belt to reduce the possibility of accidents in the
event of roll over.
-
Avoid irregular surfaces and obstructions which could cause
the tractor to roll over, especially when working on slopes. Avoid
sharp turns when going up slopes.
-
Never drive on the edge of steep banks or ravines as these could
collapse.
-
Try to avoid muddy conditions and, with steep ascents, reverse
tractor to avoid roll over.
-
When front-wheel drive is engaged the tractor can negotiate
steeper ascents, however, does not gain greater stability. When using
this option more care needs to be taken on descents. Compared with
a 4x2 tractor, a tractor with front-wheel drive maintains uphill traction
in the same way, which increases the possibility of roll-over.
-
Risk of roll over increases if a narrow tread is used or if
the tractor is driven at high speeds.
-
When transporting implements by drawbar, use a safety chain
with sufficient play.
