Warming Up Hydraulic System Oil
CQ262080-UN-11APR06
CQ294927-UN-28NOV13
Hydraulic system may operate more slowly when started in
cold weather. This is due to the fact that cold hydraulic oil is not
flowing as freely through the mesh filter nor filter (A) of transmission/hydraulic
system.
Steering also operates more slowly if the oil is not sufficiently
warmed up.
Hydraulic system works normally once hydraulic oil is warmed
up.
To prevent damage to the hydraulic pump or relief
valve, do not warm up the hydraulic oil for a period of more than
two or three minutes.
-
Start the engine and run it in low idle at 1000 rpm (B).
-
Turn steering wheel fully to the right or to the left.
