Safely Mounting Tires
CQ294040-UN-31JUL12
Failure to follow appropriate procedure when mounting a tire
on a wheel or rim can cause an explosion, which may result in serious
injury or death. DO NOT attempt to mount a tire unless you possess
the equipment and experience to safely carry out the task. It is safer
to leave this task to your John Deere dealer or a professional tire
shop.
When mounting the bead of the tire in the rim never exceed the
maximum adjustment pressure as specified by the tire manufacturer.
Inflating a tire to a pressure above the maximum level may cause the
bead to tear or even the rim, with dangerous explosive force. If,
at the recommended pressure, there is leakage of air from the bead
of the tire set on the rim deflate tire, lubricate the bead and reinflate
it.
Detailed agricultural tire mounting instructions, including
necessary safety precautions, are available from the local office
of your tire manufacturer. This information is also available in the
manuals of tire manufacturers.
