Driving On Public Roads

When driving tractor on public roads, use hazard warning lights to alert other motorists. Consult local legislation.

Keep safety equipment in good condition and replace if there is any damage.

When driving the tractor on public roads, observe the following items:

   Cab Tractors

   Join brake pedals (A) using lock (B). Avoid using brakes suddenly. Reduce speed if towed load is heavier than tractor and does not have its own brakes. (See Operator's Manual of implement to consult recommended transport speeds). Take additional care when transporting loads under adverse conditions, irregular surfaces, tight bends or when braking on descent. Be sure that the chosen tire tread provides good stability.

   To avoid premature wear of braking system, avoid resting foot on brake pedals.

2. Be sure all lights and safety devices are in perfect working condition, clean and easily visible.

3. Always use light switch on low-beam (C). Never use headlights or other lights that could interfere with other motorists.

4. Engage hazard warning lights switch (D).

5. Always use turn signal lights (E) when turning to the left or to the right, without forgetting to return turn signal lever to original position once turn is completed.

6. Drive the tractor in a gear that allows maximum control. Before traveling downhill, shift down to a low gear to control ground speed without the need for excessive brake use. Reduce speed on uneven ground or when negotiating tight turns, especially when transporting rear-mounted, heavy implements.

7. Turning off front-wheel drive (F) to reduce front tire wear.
