Tractor must come to a complete standstill before placing gear shift lever (A) in PARK position P. If the tractor is in motion, the park brake will not engage and will damage the transmission.

Move gear shifting lever (A) to position Park P.

Always move gear shift lever (A) to position Park P before leaving operator's platform. Leaving the transmission in gear with engine shut off will not always prevent the tractor from moving.

When parking tractor with heavy implements connected to drawbar, besides setting gearshift lever to Park P on tractor, make sure towed implement also has parking brake engaged to retain load and prevent accidents.

  2. Lower implement to the ground by means of the pick-up hitch position control lever (B).
  3. Pull hand throttle (C) backward to low idle position and let engine operate for one or two minutes.

The engine oil will cool down certain engine parts. The sudden stalling of an excessively hot engine may cause serious damage to these parts, due to overheating or lack of lubrication.

  4. For 5075E Tractor with Bosch A4000 injection pump1, pull fuel shut-off knob (D) backward until engine comes to a complete stop. It is also possible to pull fuel shut-off knob (D) completely backward and then push it upward.
  5. Turn key switch (E) to OFF position.

Remove starter key to avoid accidents.

1 Identify injection pump installed on tractor according to reference in Fuel System Components - 5075E Tractor, in Section Service—As Required.
