Changing Engine Oil and Replacing Oil Filter

Change engine oil and oil filter after 100 working hours. After that, change every 250 hours or after one year, whichever occurs first. The interval for changing the oil can be extended from 250 to 375 hours if JD Plus-50™, JD Plus-50™ II or ACEA classification oil E4, E5, E6 and E7 is used.

  1. Start engine and keep it running for some minutes.

  2. Park tractor on level terrain.

  3. Shut engine OFF.

  4. Place a suitable container under drain plug (A).

  5. Remove drain plug (A) from engine crankcase.

  6. Drain oil out.

  7. Reinstall the drain plug (A).

  8. Replace engine oil filter (B).

    Apply a fine film of clean oil to the oil filter seal before installing the filter. Manually tighten engine oil filter.

  9. Add specified oil through filler neck (C).

    Check the engine oil capacity in Specifications Section.

    Use oil as specified in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolant Section.

  10. Start and run engine a few minutes.

  11. Shut engine OFF.

  12. Check tractor for oil leaks.

  13. Wait 45 minutes.

  14. Check engine oil level using oil level dipstick (D). Add oil if necessary.
