Replacing Battery

   Disconnect negative (-) battery cable (A).

2. Disconnect positive (+) cable (B).

3. Unfasten two nuts (C) and move away attaching bracket (D).

4. Remove battery (E).

   Battery is heavy and contains corrosive substances. Use gloves and adequate equipment to handle the battery, otherwise serious injury may result.

5. Install new battery (E).

   When replacing the battery, always use a genuine John Deere battery.

6. Position attaching bracket (D) over battery and tighten two nuts (C).

7. Connect positive (+) cable (B).

8. Connect negative (-) battery cable (A).
