Checking Transmission-Hydraulic System Oil Level
Never operate tractor if the oil level is above maximum
level mark (H) or below minimum level mark (G) on oil level dipstick
(C). Operating the tractor under these conditions causes a loss of
power, excessive fuel consumption, and oil overheating.
Check oil level with the cold engine, preferably in the
morning before operating the tractor.

Park tractor on level terrain.

C - Oil Dipstick
D - Recommended Level Region
E - Cross-Hatched Area
F - Correct Level Region
G - Minimum Level Mark
H - Maximum Level Mark

Lower hydraulic pick-up-hitch (If Equipped).

Retract implement remote cylinders through selective control
valve levers (if equipped).

Shut engine OFF.

Wait 45 minutes.1

Turn knob (A) counterclockwise.

Turn cover (B) counterclockwise and remove.
-
Remove oil level dipstick (C).
-
Clean oil level dipstick (C).
-
Reinsert oil level dipstick (C) into fill port and then remove
dipstick again.
Insert oil level dipstick (C) completely.

Check oil level as follows:

Hold oil level dipstick (C) horizontally.

The oil level should be in region (F) between minimum level
mark (G) and maximum level mark (H).

The oil level should be preferably in region (D).
-
If oil level is within hatched area (D), this means the reservoir
is full.

If level is below or at minimum level mark (G) fill up with
specified oil through fill port where oil level dipstick (C) is inserted.

Section.

Insert oil level dipstick (C) into fill port.
-
Turn cover (B) and knob (A) counterclockwise until locking the
assembly onto fill port.
1 This step
is not required if you check the oil level in the morning before starting
the engine.
