Lubricating Front Axle U-Joints (4WD Axle)

Lubricate daily if operating the tractor in extremely conditions.

  1. Park tractor on level terrain.

    A - Grease points


  2. Turn steering wheel to the right or left until it reaches the steering stop.

  3. Clean grease fittings of the U-joints.

    If necessary, replace damaged grease fittings.

  4. Lubricate grease fittings (A) at U-joints of both front axles.

    Use John Deere grease as specified in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolant Section.

  5. Clean grease fittings and the U-joints.
