Adjusting Front Axle Toe-In (4WD Axle—Dana)

    A - Front measurement

    B - Rear measurement

    C - Measurement for Checking Toe-In

    Check front (A) and rear measurement (B) at a distance (C) of 400 mm (15.74 in.) from the center of the wheel hub. Adjust toe-in according to the following steps if necessary.

    Difference between front (A) and rear measurement (B): If front measurement is smaller, there is toe-in. If rear measurement is smaller, wheels are diverging and there is no toe-in.



  2. Loosen nut of steering rod (A). Retain at ball joint (B).

  3. Keep hinges (C) fixed in position and turn ball joint (B) to increase or reduce steering rod length.

    Adjust both sides evenly.

  4. Tighten steering rod nut (A) to specification. Apply medium strength sealant 243Loctite® (L41475).
