Drain Water and Sediment from Fuel Filter

IMPORTANT: Place suitable sized container under fuel drain locations (filters, water separator, and tanks). Dispose of waste properly.

NOTE: 5075M is equipped with a single fuel filter, located on the left hand side of the engine.

A - Fuel Tank Drain Plug

B - Fuel Filter/Water Separator Drain

C - Water Glass Bowl Drain (Except 5075M)


  1. Park tractor on level ground and shut off engine. Remove key.

  2. Raise hood and open fuel filter/water separator drain (B) and drain (C) of glass bowl to bleed accumulated moisture and sediment from filter. Tighten drains when clear fuel runs from drain.

  3. Run engine for minimum of 20 seconds and again check fuel filter drain (B) for moisture and sediments.

  4. If moisture or sediments are found, drain fuel tank.

  5. Open fuel tank drain plug (A) to bleed accumulated moisture and sediment from fuel tank.

  6. Apply TEFLON® or equivalent to threads of drain plug (A).

  7. Tighten plug when clear fuel runs from fuel tank drain plug (A).

  8. Lower hood.
