Ground Speed PTO—If Equipped
IMPORTANT: Do NOT engage or disengage the ground speed PTO under
load. Maximum speed for switching on or off: 3 km/h (1.6 mph). Maximum
travel speed with ground speed PTO switched on: 15 km/h (8.1 mph).

A - PTO Shift Lever
B - PTO Switch
For ground speed PTO operation, move PTO shift lever (A)
into ground drive PTO speed position.
NOTE: PTO switch (B) is NOT used (remains disengaged) with ground
drive PTO.
CAUTION: When an implement is connected to the ground speed
PTO, PTO lever (A) must be in neutral or position for ground speed
PTO. PTO shift lever must NOT be in the 540 or 540E positions. Pay attention to the direction in which the PTO stub shaft rotates.
The PTO stub shaft changes the direction in which it rotates depending
on whether the tractor is traveling forward or reverse.
The ground speed PTO remains engaged until PTO lever (A) is
moved manually to neutral. If it is already engaged when the engine
is started the ground speed PTO remains active; it starts to rotate
as soon as the vehicle moves.
IMPORTANT: Make sure PTO switch (B) remains in disengaged position
while ground drive PTO is engaged. Engage and disengage
ground drive PTO when vehicle is stopped.
Be careful NOT to move PTO shift lever (A) accidentally from
ground speed drive position into 540 or 540E position.
Ground drive PTO output occurs when vehicle is moving and PTO
shift lever (A) is in ground drive position.
An indicator light on the console instrument panel signals ground
drive PTO status.
NOTE: Ground drive PTO speed is proportionate to vehicle speed.
