CAUTION: Remember to set manually-operated brake valve on trailers air brake system (if equipped) in accordance with weight of trailers load.

IMPORTANT: Seal connections with dust cover whenever hoses are disconnected.

IMPORTANT: Trailer brake system warning (F) indicator will illuminate when service is required on the trailer braking system.

In emergency cases the brake system stop warning (D) indicator will illuminate to indicate that the machine should be stopped.

NOTE:

  • Green zone on gauge (C) indicates operating range.
  • Loss of pressure may cause the brake to become less effective.
  • Operate the trailer in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Manually draining water from compressed air tank is not necessary, as air tank has an auto-drain function.

Dual-line air trailer brake system employs yellow control (A) and red supply (B) line couplers.

  1. Place machine in park and shut engine off.
  2. Connect electrical implement connector if equipped. Trailer light indicator (E) will illuminate when ever implement connector is connected.
  3. Lift dust cover from trailer air brake coupler.
  4. Clean connections before attaching air hoses.
  5. Connect trailer air hose couplers. Connect yellow air brake coupler (control) first.
  6. Start engine and allow air system to reach working pressure. While air pressure builds, diagnostic trouble codes and an accompanying messages appear on display. When operating pressure is reached, trailer brake system stop warning (D) and trailer brake system warning (F) display will shut off automatically.
