Brake System Menu

NOTE: The purpose of the brake system menu is to ensure that the machines park brake alone can hold the machine and trailer on an incline or decline when parked.

    Locate the brake system menu.

    Trailer Brake Test Selection

    Trailer brake test selection screen appears. Depress the enter/accept button.


  3. Place left-hand reverser in park position with trailer attached. Trailer brake test is not available if machine is in neutral or gear.

    CAUTION: If at any time a “Brake Fault” message appears, a problem in the brake system is detected. See your John Deere dealer immediately for repair.

  4. If “Brake Engaged” message appears, depress the enter/accept button until “Brake Released” appears. The brake test is successful if no “Brake Fault” messages appear.
