A - SCV Detent Dial

B - Read Operator Manual

C - Continuous Detent (Motor)

D - No Detent (Loader)

E - Automatic Detent (Cylinder)

Selectable detents are available on some valves and identified by the SCV detent dial (A). Detent settings affect only extend and retract lever positions, not “float.”

NOTE: Read Operator’s Manual symbol (B) is for reference only and is not a selectable setting.

The three settings are:

• (C)—Continuous Detent (Motor)
• (D)—No Detent (Loader)
• (E)—Automatic Detent (Cylinder)

SCV Dial Position	Lever Detent Function
Continuous Detent (Motor) (C)	Lever stays in operating position until manually returned to neutral.
No Detent (Loader) (D)	Lever returns to neutral when released.
Automatic Detent (Cylinder) (E)	Lever automatically returns to neutral when the cylinder reaches the end of its stroke.

IMPORTANT: To avoid overheating hydraulic oil and damage to machine, use an SCV with flow control when long duration “continuous” (motor) operation is required.
