Correction Factors for Other Tire Sizes

IMPORTANT: Machine speed is limited to 42.0 km/h (26.1 mph) regardless of tire size. Some higher gear and larger tire size correction factors will indicate a higher speed, but machine speed will be limited.

NOTE: Actual speed varies due to a number of factors. Factors, such as, but not limited to, rolling circumference, load, tire pressure, make of tire, and wheel slip. If the precise speed is required for specific applications, then measurement is necessary.

The following table is used to calculate ground speeds for machines equipped with rear tires other than 480/70R28 rear tires. Multiply speeds shown in “Ground Speed Charts” by the correction factor for the appropriate tire size found in the table.

Be sure to use correct ground speed estimate for your transmission type (16/16, 32/16 or Creeper).

Example: 32/16 Transmission - Forward B7 at 2200 engine rpm with 16.9R38 tires.

8.6 km/h (5.4 mph) x 1.19 = 10.2 km/h (6.4 mph)
