SERVICE INTERVAL
	INITIAL — 100 to 500 Hour
	REGULAR (AFTER INITIAL CHANGE)— 500 HOURS If John Deere Plus-50™ II oil and John Deere filter are used. All other brands are 250 hours.

1. Operate engine to warm oil.

2. Park machine on level ground and shutoff engine.

3. Remove key.

4. Remove oil drain plug (A) and drain oil.

5. Open hood.

6. Remove engine oil filter (B). Make sure that old filter gasket is removed from housing before installing new filter.

7. Apply a film of oil on the new oil filter gasket and install new filter. Hand-tighten plus 1/2 turn.

8. Install drain plug (A).

9. Add oil to filler (C). See “Fuel, Lubricants, And Coolant” section for oil grades and specifications.

10. Replace dipstick.

11. Start engine and inspect drain plug (A) and filter (B) for leaks.

12. Stop engine and remove key.

13. Recheck oil level on dipstick, add if necessary.

14. Lower hood.
