Check Secondary Brakes

CAUTION: Avoid personal injury. Make sure that everyone is clear of machine.

A - Secondary Brake Switch

1. Position machine on a 30% incline [1 m (3.3 ft) vertically for every 3 m (9.8 ft) horizontally] with the front of machine facing downward.

2. Position left-hand reverser in neutral position while applying the manual brakes.

3. Push up on the secondary brake switch (A) to apply the secondary brake and release the manual brakes.

4. Hold the secondary brake switch (A) on for 10-15 seconds, watching for any movement.

   CAUTION: If machine does not hold stationary on an incline with reverser lever in neutral position, see your John Deere dealer immediately for repairs.
