Your John Deere Tractor is equipped with interlocks to prevent
inadvertent movement when the engine is started. Turning the key switch
with the clutch pedal depressed should start the engine if all the
following conditions exist:
-
Place gearshift lever (A) in Park "P" or Neutral "N" position

PTO lever (B) in disengaged position
-
PR: Move EH Directional Reverser lever
(C) to forward or reverse position.
CAUTION: If starter turn engine in any of the following steps,
have the neutral start system repaired by your John Deere dealer.
Turning the key switch to the start position should NOT start
the engine, if either of the following exist:
-
Gear shift lever (A) in gear (not in Park or Neutral or position)

PTO lever (B) in engaged position
