Drive Machine Safely
Normally, set backhoe boom lock and swing lock pins to center the boom before driving. If you must drive on steep hillsides, make the machine more stable by moving the backhoe to the uphill side.
Drive carefully:
-
on slopes.
-
where room is limited.
-
over rough ground, curbs, or tracks.
-
near a ditch or excavation.
For traveling:
-
connect brake pedals.
-
carry loader bucket low.
-
keep machine in gear at all times.
Use accessory lights and safety devices to warn operators of other vehicles.
Where flashing lights are prohibited, disconnect warning light flasher.
