Using Starting Fluid

causym CAUTION: Prevent possible injury from exploding container. Starting fluid is highly flammable. Keep container away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Contents are pressurized. Do not puncture or incinerate container. Remove container from machine if engine does not need starting fluid.

IMPORTANT: Prevent damage to engine. Use starting aid when temperatures are below -1°C (40°F) and only when engine is COLD.

IMPORTANT: Remove can from container and install container upside down to protect starting aid components from dust.

Using Starting Fluid:

1. Turn key switch (A) clockwise to START position.

IMPORTANT: Excess starting fluid could damage engine; push starting aid button only when engine is cold and cranking. Starting aid fluid is being injected into engine as long as you push button.

2. After one or two revolutions of engine crankshaft, push starting aid button (B) at short intervals. Crank engine for 20 seconds maximum, then allow two minutes between cranking periods.

Replacing Starting Aid Can:

1. Turn container counterclockwise to remove.

2. Remove can (C) from container.

3. Remove safety cap and spray button from new can and install into container.

4. Install container clockwise into base.
