Towing (S.N. -872256)
IMPORTANT:
Engine cannot be started by towing. Damage to transmission may result. DO NOT tow machine faster than 20 km/h (12 mph) or longer than 1 hour.
Towing IS NOT recommended. If you MUST tow machine, use the following procedure:
With Engine Non-Operational
1.
Lower buckets or attachments to the ground.
CAUTION:
Avoid serious injury. Block wheels to prevent machine movement before disengaging park brake.
2.
Block all tires.
3.
Move FNR range lever to neutral "N".
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury or death from unexpected machine movement. Release park brake through floor in operator's station, do not work underneath the machine to release the park brake.
4.
Remove front floor plate in operator's station.
5.
Remove cover (A) from park brake assembly.
6.
Loosen lock nut (B).
7.
Using an ALLEN HEAD
®
wrench, loosen adjustment screw (C) until park brake assembly is loose from brake disk (D).
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury or machine damage. Operator must be in operator's seat to control steering and brakes.
8.
Have blocks removed from tires.
9.
Tow machine.
