Check the Park Brake
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury from unexpected machine movement. Fasten seat belt before doing this check.
1.
Fasten seat belt.
2.
Start machine on dry hard pavement.
3.
Raise loader bucket off ground, position stabilizers in the UP position, and backhoe in the transport position.
4.
Move the park brake switch (A) to the OFF position.
5.
Disengage MFWD, if equipped.
6.
Move FNR range lever to 2nd gear, forward "F" position.
7.
Depress the speed control pedal to the floor and drive approximately 7 m (20 ft) before moving the park brake switch to the "ON" position. The machine must stop within 2 m (6 ft) and transmission must shift to neutral "N".
8.
On machines (S.N. -872256), adjust the park brake, if necessary (see Inspect and Adjust Park Brake (S.N. -872256) in Maintenance-Every 1000 Hours chapter).
On machines (S.N. 872257- ), see your authorized dealer for adjustment.
