Change Hydraulic Reservoir Oil (S.N. -872256)

1. Park machine on a level surface.

2. Move backhoe and stabilizers to transport position and lower loader bucket to ground. Stop engine.

3. Loosen dipperstick. Attach drain hose to petcock (A) and drain oil.

4. Remove suction screen (A) through access hole (B) and inspect screen and screen O-ring for damage. Replace screen if damaged. (See your authorized dealer if there is debris in screen.)

NOTE: Screen is located on bottom of reservoir on a short vertical tube. Pull up on screen to remove.

5. Replace hydraulic oil filter. (See Maintenance-Every 500 Hours chapter.)

6. Install suction screen.

7. Fill hydraulic reservoir. (See Fuels and Lubricants chapter.)

Hydraulic Reservoir -Capacity 40 L (10.5 gal) approximate

8. Check oil level.

9. If necessary, add oil.

10. Check oil level again.
